Belgium introduces road tolls for trucks

March 23, 2016
From April 1, 2016, the Kingdom of Belgium introduces a toll for the use of roads for trucks weighing over 3.5 tons. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine (MIU).
Each truck subject to the billing must be equipped with a “Unit on Board” device that records the movement of the vehicle and transmits information to the billing center. The owner of the vehicle will receive a receipt for paying for the use of roads once a month or once every 14 days.
The UOB device is issued to truck owners in a certified company for free use upon payment of a security deposit of 135 euros.
