In today's interview, Igor Olshansky will share with us information about the international waybill, also called CMR.
CMR - can be translated as: "Convention on the Contract for the International Carriage of Goods by Road".
Simply put, CMR is a bill of lading for international shipping. It is a document proving the fact of concluding a contract for the carriage of goods by road. The CMR waybill specifies the sender, recipient, place of origin of the goods, place of delivery, weight, description, route, method of transportation and cost of delivery.
The CMR waybill is drawn up in at least three copies, which are certified by the sender and the carrier. The first copy of the waybill remains with the sender, the second and third copies accompany the cargo, after unloading the second copy is signed by the recipient and given to the carrier, the third remains with the recipient. Everyone is happy
Almost anyone can fill out the CMR, the shipper himself, the forwarding company, the carrier can scribble the CMR with an ordinary ballpoint pen, but the one who stamps in column 22 is responsible for the completeness of the information.
