International shipping is an integral part of the economy of any country. After the start of the war in Ukraine, due to the attack of the Russian troops, the logistics chains, which were formed and developed over many years and even ten years, underwent significant changes. "Grand Logistics Company" continues to work, delivering any cargo from Europe to Ukraine. The employees of the transport and forwarding company have many years of experience (since 2007) and clearly understand that almost everything depends on the provision of uninterrupted deliveries of various cargoes in the conditions of hostilities, starting with the combat capability of military units and the stability of the country's economy, and ending with the humanitarian situation in rear and frontline territories.

Features of cargo transportation in wartime and how cargo is delivered from Europe to Ukraine

In the conditions of war, the issue of logistics acquires the scale of national security. Therefore, now at the government level, special emphasis is placed on the need to create a flexible logistics system capable of responding to external threats as quickly and efficiently as possible. GLC employees, understanding the importance and complexity of the current situation, are trying to adapt their work to ensure uninterrupted deliveries of goods from Europe to Ukraine, as well as to evacuate people, industrial enterprises and other commercial structures from war zones to safer areas.

At the same time, it should be taken into account that due to regular shelling and missile strikes on almost all populated areas of Ukraine, as well as the blockade of seaports by the Russian fleet, transportation from European countries is possible only by rail and road transport. Another important point is the almost complete cessation of transportation of various goods from Europe through the transport highways that pass through the territory of the Republic of Belarus. To this should be added a significantly increased volume of delivered goods, mainly military and humanitarian, which leads to the formation of queues at border checkpoints. Thanks to the simplified system of customs clearance and the reduction of bureaucratic aspects to a minimum, in most cases the delivery of goods from Europe is carried out in the optimal time, but in some cases there are still failures.

The main directions of cargo delivery from Europe

At the moment, most cargoes to Ukraine are delivered from the following countries:

  • Great Britain;
  • Germany;
  • Netherlands;
  • Austria;
  • Poland;
  • Slovakia;
  • Czech Republic;
  • Sweden;
  • Switzerland;
  • Finland;
  • Latvia;
  • Lithuania;
  • Estonia.

Ukraine also receives a large amount of goods necessary for military structures, the civilian population, and the country's economy as a whole from the USA, Israel, Canada, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and many other countries that support the Ukrainian people in the fight against the Russian aggressor . The delivery of such goods in most cases is also carried out through EU countries.

"Grand Logistics Company" has a diverse own fleet of trucks of various types and special equipment, which allows delivery of all types of cargo from Europe to Ukraine - large-sized, bulk, non-standard, bulk, heavy, dangerous, in containers. At the same time, special attention is paid to the transportation of fuel, petroleum products, and combustible and lubricating materials.

Despite the fact that logistics during the war is a task with many variables, the employees of the GLC manage to work effectively and every day bring the long-awaited and complete victory over the Russian aggressor closer. This is achieved thanks to a flexible approach to the organization of logistics processes, competent planning and the use of advanced technologies.
