The attack of Russian troops on Ukraine radically changed the life of every Ukrainian. The war affected absolutely all spheres of activity, including internal and international cargo transportation. Due to constant shelling and missile attacks, air traffic was stopped, the blockade of sea ports made it impossible to deliver goods by water transport. Logistics chains that had been in place for a long time stopped functioning normally. Nevertheless, the cargo transportation market in Ukraine, even in conditions of active hostilities, continues to operate, since logistics is critically important for the country.

Main changes in the freight transport market in Ukraine during wartime

It should be noted right away that with the outbreak of hostilities, the load on cargo carriers increased significantly. The main priority was the delivery of humanitarian supplies to the cities and villages that suffered the most from the Russian occupiers. The second important direction is the evacuation of industrial enterprises, as well as commercial companies from combat zones to the West of the country. The third point is to ensure stable supplies of critical products from European countries - Poland, the Czech Republic, Germany, Great Britain and many others.

The war also exposed problems in the field of cargo transportation. Many companies are facing a shortage of vehicles and qualified drivers. There were also problems with fuel. Therefore, the organization of freight transportation in Ukraine, as well as international It is best to trust large companies that have been working in this area for many years and have their own fleet of trucks and special equipment. This will allow you to deliver almost any cargo in the optimal time frame and in compliance with all necessary conditions, which is especially important when transporting medicines, perishable goods, animals and many other goods.

Another important point in the organization cargo transportation in Ukraine under martial law, this means that only two main types of delivery are available - rail and road. If necessary, employees of “Grand Logistics Company” will organize combined (multimodal) transportationwhen both modes of transport are involved. This approach often makes it possible to minimize costs and speed up the transportation process.

In addition, it should be taken into account that currently in the western regions of Ukraine there is a lack of free warehouse space, which must be taken into account when organizing the process of cargo transportation or business evacuation.

  • Personal hygiene products;
  • Industrial equipment;

This is not a complete list of goods that are regularly transported in Ukraine during hostilities, and this does not include military cargo.

Why is it important to cooperate with specialized companies?

With the outbreak of hostilities on the territory of Ukraine, there was an acute shortage of transport and professional drivers. To solve these problems, at least partially, the government has made a number of changes to the current legislation. For example, drivers with a category B license can now drive a truck weighing 7.5 tons.

In addition, the organization of cargo transportation in combat conditions requires a special approach, not only to the choice of delivery method and vehicle, but also to the development of the safest routes. To do this, GLC employees constantly monitor the situation, in close cooperation with government agencies, looking for bypass roads in order to deliver the cargo safely and not endanger the life and health of drivers, forwarders, loaders and other participants in the logistics chain.

Despite the difficulties encountered, the market cargo transportation in Ukraine works and will work, quickly adapting to the situation. All this is aimed at bringing our common victory closer and quickly beginning the restoration of cities and villages destroyed by the Russian occupiers.
