In this article, Igor Olshansky shares the main factors that influence the choice of mode of transport.
◘ The first factor is the Route.
The distance and time for transportation, whether it is domestic transportation or international, will depend on the type of transport: railway, air, sea, car, as well as the price of transportation itself.
◘ The second factor is cargo.
The cargo determines the transportation requirements. Dimensions and weight are taken into account. This determines the characteristics of loading and unloading cargo, as well as whether there is a need to maintain temperature conditions, the need for a permit for the transportation of dangerous goods (ADR), or the possibility of transportation as part of a groupage cargo.
◘ The third factor is – Documentation.
Documentation that accompanies the cargo: Bill of lading (Bill of Lading), TIR-carnet, or CMR. Do you need cargo insurance or additional escort or security?
One of the important factors remains the quality of services. We provide a full range of services in the field of cargo transportation and customs brokerage services and are always focused on results.
