Types of wagons for railway transportation that we carry
Covered wagons — are used for the transportation of goods that require protection from atmospheric precipitation. The car body is a structure consisting of a frame with a floor, 4 walls and a roof. Loading and unloading in universal boxcars is carried out through doors located in the side walls. The carrying capacity of a 4-axle covered wagon, depending on the model, varies from 50 tons to 68 tons, the volume is from 104 m3 to 140 m3 (averaged).
gondola cars — designed for the transportation of goods that do not require protection from atmospheric precipitation. Since gondola cars do not have a roof, this makes it possible to fully mechanize loading. For the transportation of bulk cargo, there are gondola cars with hatches in the floor, which allow you to mechanize the unloading of such cargo. The carrying capacity of a 4-axle gondola car, depending on the model, varies from 65 tons to 69 tons, the volume is from 73 m3 to 75 m3 (averaged).
Platforms - wagons used for the transportation of machinery, equipment, long cargo, containers, as well as bulk cargo that do not require protection from atmospheric precipitation. The load capacity of a 4-axle platform, depending on the model, varies from 60 tons to 72 tons (averaged).
cisterns – are used for the transportation of liquid cargo, pesticides, petroleum products, liquefied gases and powdered materials. The carrying capacity of a 4-base tank, depending on the model, varies from 60 tons to 67 tons, the volume is from 44 m3 to 76 m3 (averaged).
Hoppers - a type of gondola car used for mass transportation of fertilizers, cement, grain and other bulk cargo. To protect against precipitation, covered hoppers with loading hatches on the roof are used.
Isothermal wagons - refers to the type of covered wagons designed for the transportation of perishable products. The bodies of such cars are equipped with special thermal insulation, which includes polystyrene and polyurethane foam. In addition, to maintain the required temperature, the isothermal car is equipped with a cooling system and forced air circulation.
Refrigeration - a universal covered wagon for the transportation of perishable goods, which can be stored for a long time only at low temperatures (often below 0°C).
