For the import of goods from Russia a fine!

January 20, 2016
The State Fiscal Service of Ukraine will fine violators for the import of prohibited goods from Russia to the territory of Ukraine. On January 10, a ban was introduced on the import of a number of goods originating from the Russian Federation. The ban is valid until August 5, 2016.
In the case of violations of customs rules, measures will be taken to record violations and hold persons accountable.
For the transportation of prohibited goods, or goods in volumes exceeding the non-taxable norm, a fine of UAH 1,700 is imposed. Goods, the movement of which across the customs border of Ukraine is prohibited or restricted by law, are confiscated.
If the movement took place outside customs control or with concealment from customs control, then a fine in the amount of 100% of the value of the goods is applied to the violators and these goods are confiscated. The vehicles used to transport the goods are also confiscated.
